Tulia means “relax” in Swahili.

We are a lighting design studio based in Nairobi, Kenya. We believe in not only making beautiful light, but in designing art pieces that express light in their own way.

We combine 3D printing, woodwork, and ceramic craftsmanship to create lighting pieces that bring together design, material, and light.

Every Tulia piece is intentionally created from its form and materials to the way it interacts with light and the space around it.

Because to us, lighting is more than illumination. It’s a way to express how a space feels.
